Born in 1960, Jean-Marc Abcarius grew up in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his architectural studies at the Ecole d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville and worked professionally in offices in Paris, New York and Berlin. He began teaching at the Technical University of Berlin in 1993. Christopher Burns, born 1961 in Los Angeles, received his Masters Degree from the Yale University School of Art and Architecture and won a Maverick Scholarship for post-graduate studies in Fontainbleau, France. He has worked for architectural practices in Los Angeles, New York and Berlin. He began teaching at the Technical University of Brandenburg- Cottbus in 2002.
